delicious prosciutto cotto from di Palo’s with a hard boiled egg and mixed salad – I suppose it’s really an open ham and egg sandwich

back from di Palo’s – again! and we stick with the simple: prosciutto di Parma and the freshest unsalted mozzarella with a little sun dried tomato on warm pressed ciabatta

making do with what we have – saffron and black pepper pecorino with mahogany rice from yesterday, arugula with tomato soup and ciabatta

back from another trip to Acme bearing salmon and other good stuff – today we had baked salmon with a mustard/mayo/dill dressing and thin sliced red onion, along with mahogany rice and an arugula and fennel salad

a huge slice of the french country bread from Almondine with finely sliced fennel, grilled portabello, grilled cipolline and balsamic dressing.
Now we’re taking a lunch break – back on feb 11th

looks similar to the previous entry, but tastes very different – today we have our last can of filetti di sgombro (mackerel fillets in olive oil) from La Coop in Rome, on ciabatta with cucumber, cornichons and a salad of endive and grape tomatoes – delicious

a simple repeat and one of Elbeth’s favorite for her last day at spring – whitefish salad from Acme with cornichons on multigrain baguette with a cucumber salad; tomato soup


still smiling after 5 months! Elsbeth returns to Holland but we hope to see her again in the future – doei!
